The Stihl RMI 422 PC iMow robotic mower combines a number of features to make it the ultimate convenience mower. Compact, capable and communicative, it is equipped with the iMow app enabling you to conveniently configure a host of settings using an app on your smartphone or tablet. You can change the mowing plan, see the status or pause or start new mowing operations all from the comfort of your home or office.
Within the tailored active times, the smart robotic mower automatically picks the optimum mowing windows for the best possible cut using the rain sensor and a comparison with online weather services. Its long-life Lithium-Ion battery makes the iMow robotic mower perfect for medium-sized lawns up to 1,700 m².
As the robotic mower cuts your lawn automatically, it supplies it with nutrients by cutting and shredding the grass in one step and returning the clippings to the soil to fertiliser it for a lush, healthy lawn.
The adaptive slope speed function adapts the speed on a gradient up to a 40% incline. If the iMow robotic mower encounters any obstacles sensors in the movable hood detect the impact and the machine sets off in a different direction. The RMI 422 PC comes with a 5 year extended domestic warranty (subject to registration and annual servicing). The Stihl iMow robotic mowers comply with all applicable safety standards.
Bright LCD display – The high-contrast, bright LCD display is easy to read even in sunlight, and the control panel is integrated into the housing of the Stihl iMow robotic mower.
Movable hood – its integrated sensors protect the Stihl iMow robotic mower from weather and obstacles. If the iMow comes up against an obstacle during automatic mowing the sensors ensure it changes direction.
All-round protection – The Stihl iMow robotic mower is equipped with various sensors. As soon as someone attempts to pick it up while mowing, it stops. It can also be protected with a PIN code to prevent any unauthorised use. On all C models, the iiMOW® robotic mower can also be located using the free iMOW® app via smartphone or tablet using GPS.
Standard equipment – Standard equipment for the Stihl iMow robotic mower includes the machine, the docking station with four pegs for securing it to the ground and an iMow ruler as an aid for laying the perimeter wire. An installation kit is also required to install the iMow robotic mower.
Docking Station – The robotic lawn mower is guided by the signal transmitted by the perimeter wire at the edge of the lawn which is fed via the docking station. Thanks to its intelligent charging system, the iMOW® decides independently whether a fast charge is necessary due to another imminent mowing operation or whether the battery should be charged in an energy-saving mode. The docking station can be placed within or outside the lawn area.
Mulching Mowing Deck – The mulching blade ensures a precise cutting pattern even on higher grass growth. Its rotational direction changes automatically every time the blade stops, so ensuring even wear. The blade can be changed without the need for tools.
Offset drive home – By default, the iMOW® robotic mower travels back home to the docking station along the perimeter wire. If required, and depending on the condition of the edge of the mowing area, the iMOW® can also travel to its docking station with an alternating offset to the perimeter wire.
Control Panel – The control panel with integrated and bright display for easy setup is flush-mounted in the housing of the mower.
iMOW Robotic Mower Drive – The drive enables the iMOW to mow hilly terrain with consistently high quality. The RMI 422 can handle gradients of up to 35%, while the other automatic lawn mowers from the RMI 4 series can cope with a gradient of up to 40%.
App control – The iMOW® app transforms a STIHL iMOW® robotic mower into a standalone smart garden system. As well as changing settings on the machine, the intuitive app menu can be accessed via a smartphone or tablet whilst on the move to give a real-time overview of the main functions and performance data. Using GPS localisation, the current location can also be viewed and a desired zone can be defined as the preferred mowing location at a specific time.
Adaptive slope speed – this function allows the robotic mower to adapts its speed on uneven terrain. The integrated tilt sensor constantly analyses the position and adapts its speed accordingly.
Dynamic mowing plan – this allows individual time windows during which the machine can be in operation to be defined for each day. If mowing is interrupted due to rain it automatically catches up later within the specified time window.
Wheels with traction pattern – The smooth-running wheels with traction pattern ensure that the robotic mower moves with precision on hilly lawns with a slight gradient of up to 40% and denser grass growth. The treaded wheels of the automatic lawn mower are self-cleaning.
