Description
Experience exceptional cutting performance with the Stihl MS 400 C-M, the world’s first chainsaw engineered with a magnesium piston. Built specifically for forestry professionals, this premium 60cc saw delivers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio of just 1.45 kg/kW, making it ideal for demanding, all-day use in the forest.
The MS 400 C-M has been designed to deliver Stihl’s highest performance in the 60cc category. With a completely new 66.8 cc 2-MIX engine, this saw produces an impressive 4.0 kW of power and 4.1 Nm of torque – a significant upgrade from the MS 362 C-M.
Despite the increased displacement and power, the magnesium piston is 14% lighter than the aluminium piston used in comparable models. This enables faster acceleration, enhanced efficiency and improved handling.
Key Features:
- 4.0 kW power output for fast, efficient cutting
- 66.8 cc displacement – 14% more than the MS 362 C-M
- Lightweight magnesium piston for rapid acceleration
- Powerhead weight: 5.8 kg
- Best-in-class power-to-weight ratio: 1.45 kg/kW
- Advanced M-Tronic Technology
Equipped with Stihl M-Tronic 3.0, the MS 400 C-M features fully electronic engine management for consistent performance in all conditions. The system includes a simple re-calibration procedure and works alongside an improved HD2 filter to maintain optimum power and engine health, even in heavy-duty forestry environments.
Stihl ElastoStart technology ensures smoother, easier starting by reducing strain on the operator. Designed for professional forestry and arboriculture, the MS 400 C-M is ideal for felling medium-to-large trees, de-limbing, cross-cutting and processing timber.
Its precision engineering makes it a reliable choice for forestry workers seeking power, endurance and efficiency.
