The FSA 400 is Stihl’s first battery-powered* clearing saw, designed for professional landscapers and grounds maintenance teams who need serious cutting power without the noise and emissions of a petrol tool. With performance comparable to the FS 411 C-EM, this robust tool is ideal for clearing dense grass, tough overgrowth, and shredding thick vegetation.

Thanks to its low-noise EC motor, the FSA 400 is perfectly suited for use in noise-sensitive areas like parks, schools, and urban zones. A bike handle provides ergonomic, fatigue-reducing control during prolonged clearing work, and a folding clamp allows for quick and easy handle adjustments on the go.

The speed-adjustable control handle offers three levels, adapting to your workload with automatic RPM management for efficient energy use:

• Up to 6,900 RPM with BrushCut or PolyCut heads
• Down to 5,000 RPM with the standard AutoCut mowing head

Built for comfort and durability, the anti-vibration system protects your joints during extended use, while the removable air filter helps keep the motor cool for a longer service life. It also comes supplied with the ADVANCE PLUS universal harness for balanced support.

The FSA 400 is compatible with a wide range of Stihl mowing heads and cutting blades, including:

• AutoCut 46-2 (supplied as standard)
• TrimCut 42-2, DuroCut 40-4, PolyCut 48-2
• Plus a full selection of metal cutting blades: GrassCut, BrushCut, ShredCut, and more

With its IPX4 rating, the FSA 400 is suitable for use in all weather conditions. The reinforced battery* casing, stainless steel mesh filter, and 28mm aluminium shaft ensure long-lasting performance in demanding environments. It also includes a mounting point for the Stihl Smart Connector 2 A, making it easy to track tool usage and servicing.
