Description

The Stihl HLA 40 cordless long reach hedge trimmer is a lightweight tool for maintaining hedges, shrubs and bushes in home gardens. Its telescopic shaft extends from 115 cm to 260 cm. This gives you extra reach for taller hedges and awkward areas. As a result, you can work safely from the ground without using ladders.

The cutter bar adjusts from -45° to +70°. This makes it easy to trim both the tops and sides of hedges. The 45 cm double-sided blade delivers clean and accurate cuts. Stihl laser-cuts, diamond-grinds and hardens the blades for long-lasting performance and durability.

At just 3.7 kg, the HLA 40 is comfortable to use for longer periods. The soft-grip loop handle provides good control in tight spaces. In addition, the balanced design helps reduce fatigue while you work. You can also adjust the shaft quickly without tools.

For added convenience, the shaft detaches for easier transport and compact storage. A tip protector helps prevent damage when cutting close to walls or near the ground. The HLA 40 runs on the Stihl AS 2 lithium-ion battery. It provides up to 40 minutes of run time on a full charge.

This is a tool-only model. The AS 2 battery and ALS 31 charger are sold separately. However, the battery works with other tools in the Stihl AS system. Please note that this model is not compatible with Kombi attachments, the HTA 30 pruner head, the RTS harness or the shaft extension.
