Powered by a 414cc petrol engine with electric key start, the 1538M-SD delivers smooth, reliable performance and plenty of torque to handle longer or thicker grass. The manual transmission offers 5 forward gears and 1 reverse gear, giving you full control across different lawn conditions and terrain. Simple, durable and easy to operate, it’s a practical choice for gardeners who prefer a traditional geared drive.

The 98cm twin-blade cutting deck provides excellent coverage, reducing mowing time significantly. Designed specifically for side discharge, it disperses grass clippings neatly to the side — perfect for less formal areas and for cutting longer grass without the need to stop and empty a collector. You can also fit the included mulching plate to finely chop clippings and return them to the lawn as a natural fertiliser, helping to promote a healthier, greener finish.

With 7 cutting height positions ranging from 25mm to 80mm, easily adjusted using a manual lever, you can achieve the exact finish you want throughout the season. Lower the deck for a neat, close cut or raise it during dry spells to protect your lawn.

Practical features make ownership straightforward. A deck wash port allows you to connect a hose for easy underside cleaning, helping maintain performance and prolong deck life. A tow hitch is included for light garden tasks, and a battery charger is available separately.
