The Stihl GTA 30 Cordless Pruner gives you more reach and more cutting performance in a lightweight, easy-to-handle design. Whether you’re pruning branches, reducing shrubs or clearing garden waste, this compact tool helps you work quickly and confidently.

Unlike smaller models, the GTA 30 features a 15cm guide bar, so you can tackle thicker material and slightly larger jobs around the garden. Even so, it weighs just 1.9kg. As a result, you can manoeuvre it easily and work for longer without strain.

For smooth, controlled cutting, the GTA 30 runs on a ¼” PM3 saw chain. This chain reduces vibration while maintaining strong cutting performance, which means you achieve clean, precise results with less effort. In addition, the spring-loaded chain tensioning system allows you to adjust tension quickly. Simply fold out the handle and rotate the sprocket cover 90 degrees – the mechanism sets the correct tension automatically, without tools.

Power comes from two AS 2 lithium-ion batteries, which discharge in parallel to deliver consistent output. Because of this setup, the tool operates with balanced performance at all times. A clear charge indicator on the top of the unit shows battery status at a glance. When it’s time to recharge, the supplied AL 5-2 charger charges both batteries simultaneously in approximately 50 minutes.

On a full charge, you can achieve up to 180 cuts in 5cm branches. Therefore, the GTA 30 handles routine garden pruning comfortably.

Comfort also plays a key role in the design. The rubberised handles improve grip, while the two-handed operating position keeps the tool stable as you guide it through the cut. Once you finish, the integrated eyelet lets you hang the pruner neatly for storage.

The kit also includes a durable hard case with space for two additional AS 2 batteries. Inside, a clear orientation guide shows which batteries are charged and ready to use. Multioil Bio is included, so you can lubricate the chain from day one and keep performance at its best.
